Isosceles 60 Trio, 2020
I was tasked to design a hanging light for a large residential lobby space. After sending some initial concepts over to the client, a consultation was arranged, and a final design was formed collaboratively.
The shape Isosceles 60 was settled upon, its sixty sides create a visual complexity that hasn’t been seen in the previous polyhedrons I have created. Curved edges were used to soften the geometric spheres, however the trio remained compact and closely set.
Due to the larger scale of the project I had to source a quality manufacturer who could produce the two hundred components needed within a budget. The pendant lights were transported flat packed and then assembled on site, with the install only taking a day. The cards lightweight and forgiveness was key for the ease of install.
